In/Out Focus - A montage from Battersea Fireworks 2010

I went along to Battersea Fireworks 2010 in Pattersea Park, London, with the intention of meeting up with some friends. However when mobile networks failed and I couldn't actually get through to them to meet up, I decided I'd try out my camera in EXTREMELY dark conditions instead, whilst playing with what was in and out of focus. My favorite part is the fireworks, they are so much more impressive out of focus! Music by Sigur Ros. Shot on Canon 7D with Nikon Nikkor 50mm f1.8 Prime lens. ISO 320. Shutter 1/30. Canon's new fast aperture prime lens: the EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM. Replacing the EF 24mm f/1.4L USM, the EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM has been completely redesigned to provide an exacting partner lens to Canon's new EOS digital SLRs, the EOS 50D and EOS 5D Mark II. Featuring a 13-element, 10-group lens, the EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM is designed to achieve the highest standards of image quality. Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera - Customer Reviews

The Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR camera is Canon's number one EOS Rebel model. The camera is lightweight, compact and has outstanding light sensitivity, allowing you to take excellent photos in low light conditions. It features a 3.0 inch wide viewing screen with 1.04 million dots/VGA which gives you a sharp, highly detailed view.

It comes compatible with the full line-up of Canon EF lenses, and the improved EOS movie mode allows you to make your own movies in full HD mode.

Customers overwhelmingly gave the camera a 5 star rating, with image quality and the wide range of features being two of the best selling points. The overall impression is one of a small, sleek, easy to use camera that makes it particularly easy to shoot in poor lighting conditions.

The image quality is excellent for this digital SLR and it can capture up to 3.7 frames per second, perfect for taking sports, wildlife or other high action photos. Customers felt that the image quality compared quite favorably with some of Canon's higher end models.

The video quality is also superb, the built in mic works well and it also includes a microphone input jack so you can connect a mic for enhanced sound recording as well.

The newly designed buttons are more intuitive and ergonomic than on previous models. The kit lens that comes with the camera is the standard 18-55 f/3.5-5.6.

It functions well and provides great image quality, particularly in the center of the frame.

Some customers weren't happy with the initial white-balance setting, this has been a problem on previous Rebel models and has been improved but is still an issue for some customers. Given that the EOS Rebel T2i is not a full frame SLR the crop factor (1.6x) was also an issue for shooting wide angle landscape photos.

All in all, customers who bought the Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR were very pleased with the camera, particularly at its price point. The T2i offers great value for the money and is an excellent learn-as-you go camera for amateur or semi-pro photographers.
